NEUROSCIENCE OF THE CIRCULATION

AUTONOMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS THAT MAINTAIN NORMAL BLOOD PRESSURE AND GET OXYGEN IN AND CARBON DIOXIDE OUT.

Central cardiorespiratory regulation and the neurons, microglia, cytokines and  neurotransmitters involved at key synapses in the brainstem and spinal cord see publications. Research areas are outlined in brief here.


GRADUATE STUDIES (PhD, Masters and Honours) IN MY LABORATORY:

There are many different ways to obtain a position as a graduate student in my laboratory.

Students are enrolled through the University of Sydney (Physiology) where I am an adjunct Professor. Interested students should first examine our most recent (2013 - now) publications. If you are still enthusiastic, please contact me directly. Please also contact the Sydney University New Students site to ensure that you will be able to undertake studies. This is important to ensure that you have the necessary paperwork, and because rules do change from year to year.

Note that at the end of the page for Honours there is an important Form that must be completed early on.

At some point, it will be essential to contact the friendly people at the new students site.
